Our laboratory is certified by CLIA and the Indiana State Department of Health Water Microbiology program. We provide quality laboratory testing services for many of the programs offered at the Health Department.

STD Testing
Testing is offered to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of the diseases below for patients seen in the Specialty Clinic.
Tests offered:
- HIV
- Syphilis
- Gonorrhea
- Chlamydia
- Trichomonas vaginalis, Bacterial vaginosis, and vaginal yeast infection
- Male nongonococcal urethritis

Lead Testing
Free blood lead testing is offered for children under 7 years of age and pregnant or breastfeeding women. To schedule an appointment call 812-435-2400 Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Appointments are taken Monday-Friday 8:00am-11:30am & 1:30pm-3:30pm. Click here to schedule a lead test for you child.
Blood Sugar Testing
A Hemoglobin A1c (3 month average of blood glucose levels) is available to all clients participating in Pre Diabetes Prevention and Weigh Down Programs offered by our Health Promotions Department.
Pregnancy Testing
We only offer pregnancy testing to clients as needed that are seen in our Specialty Clinic.

**Pregnancy Testing and other service fees are based on a sliding fee scale, determined by income. Most clients receive services at or below 50% of regular fees. Some clients’ income qualify for free services. All forms of health insurance are accepted. Healthcare/ Resource Navigator Services offering free, unbiased enrollment assistance for Medicaid and the Marketplace for anyone in the surrounding TRI-CAP service area.
